Academic Language Week 16 - Credit Card Restrictions

I think that there should be more restrictions on credit card use. One reason is that some younger people are to immature and they wont be able to pay off their INCOME taxes and loans that they owe. Another reason is that some people don't need a credit card to make credit because they can just FINANCE a car so that way they can make credit. Lastly, the countries ECONOMY has not been good lately because people have not been paying their lately taxes and loans. That is why I think that there should be more restrictions on credit card use.

“The Skull and the Arrow” In the Cave

I was barely making it, I just got beaten and beaten until they thought I was dead. I was staggering and in extinguishing pain. I thought I wasn't going to make it, until I saw the cave. I knew I was going to make it once I made it to the cave, I knew I was going to be alright. I grabbed some dry branches and twigs that were in the cave, and after searching the wet muddy clothes I had on, I found a match. I searched the cave and found a pot. Then I went and let the pot sit outside and fill up with water. Once it was filled up with water, I put it on top of the fire. Then I put my head in the hot water so my bruises wont hurt as much and go numb. After doing that I looked around the cave and I found a bear skull with something in the eye socket. I pulled out that something and it turns out to be a perfect arrow head. I looked around and I see no bones of a human but all I see is broken bones of a bear. By seeing this it gave me new courage, the man took down his enemy even though he was close to death and he won. After about three weeks on surviving with little amounts of things he could use. He finally decided to go over to the village and fight for justice. As he made it to the village he stood up for himself and his friends, alongside with the townsfolk.

JCCS Academic Language Week 15 - Cell Phone Interview

Derek thinks cell phones are not safe to use while driving because its a distraction.
James thinks cell phones are not safe to use while driving because they are a distraction.
Tashanna thinks cell phones are not safe to use while driving because they are a distraction to the road, and to your focus on driving.

“The Grandfather” Symbol of My Significant Person

My significant person is my sister Nicki. The item that symbolizes her the most is fire. One similarity is that she is pretty but can be mean most of the time, if you make her mad. Another similarity is that she can shine very brightly, like fire, if you can use it the right way it can be used to lighten your own way, and can help if you use it the right way. Lastly, she can be very dangerous, and can ruin and damage a lot of things, like how fires can burn down forests, houses, farms, and can kill humans,  animals, and earth life.

“The Grandfather” Before Important Person

The person who means a great deal to me is my sister. My sister is the type to be more of an adult in a situation, she can be serious when its the time to be serious, and can be fun when its time to be fun. She is also very mature. She's important to me because she is my sister, and she has done a lot of things for me. She also has given me a lot of company. The current relationship with my sister is like a very strong bond. I try to call her everyday, and she sends me gifts sometimes.

Symbolism: Symbol of Self

A symbol of Christmas that symbolizes me is Christmas lights. One reason is because someone told me that I just stand still and never go out, unless if the batteries die, eventually you can get used to it, and sleep through it, but it never goes out and bring a lot of happiness to people. Another reason is because I light up a room, like Christmas lights do. Lastly, I make people smile, like how a lot of Christmas lights make people smile when they enter a room. That is why I think, and other people think that Christmas lights symbolizes me.

Academic Language Week 14 - Cloning

There are different facts whether human beings should be cloned. One reason is that some people misinterpreted the CONTEXT that cloning might be helpful to certain things, like embryonic stem cells, or grow replacement human organ tissue from scratch. Another reason is that they need to EVALUATE the experiments, so that way when they do cloning it can be done the right way. Lastly, people need to EQUATE cloning with humans, because some people don't understand the difference between human beings and clones. That is why I think that human beings should be cloned, once they perfect the cloning material.

Narrator Assessment Project - Thanksgiving 2011

Story A
My Thanksgiving dinner at the Jammer party was good. I got a poster of me and Frankie, and I got three posters of the Charger Girls. Then Mrs. Jammer told everybody to sit down so we did.  I sat with Jackie, Amy, Hilary, and Phil at one of the small red tables. Then Mrs. Jammer introduced us to Mr.Victor Marx, and he told us a very sad story about his life. Then he told us that he was a master in Martial arts, then he showed us different stunts, and volunteers went up on the stage to do some of those stunts with him. Then we all had dinner and desert, and while we ate desert we saw different types of dancers doing different dances to different songs. That is why the Jammer dinner was awesome.
Story B
Derek thought the Jammer dinner party was good, even though he’s been to the Hall Of Champions in Balboa Park 4 or 5 times. Some parts have been the same like the dancers, but what he liked most was when Victor Marx gave his speech, he thought it was sad, but he also enjoyed it. He talked to a lot of people like Quentin Jammer and some of the other kids, then he ate a lot of Turkey, and stuffing. After the speech he watched the dancers, which gave a really good show, a show that continues to be enjoyable even after 4 years. Then after everything ended at the Hall of Champions everyone, including me, had to leave the Jammer dinner, and then everyone got on the buses and vans and we all left the Hall of Champions.
Story C
A narrator can influence a story by explaining a story or person, but they can also change the thoughts and feelings of a character, or characters. Also, a narrator can influence a story by their voice. For example, a narrator can be reading you a loving soft story, and you would be expecting a soft loving voice, and not a harsh manly voice, it also goes the same for an adventurous story, you would be expecting a person with a manly voice, and you might hear a soft loving voice.
There are some stories that are first person narrative, like Story A, and there are stories that are third person limited, like Story B. In first person narrative the narrator is a character in the story, so that the narrator reveals the plot by referring to this viewpoint character as "I" (or, when plural, "we"). In third person narrative each and every character is referred to by the narrator as "he", "she", "it", or "they", but never as "I" or "we",  or "you".

"The Cask of Amontillado" Before You Read: Revenge

People seek revenge because other people hurt somebody or something they love, or they did something bad in general and that person just got really mad. One reason is that some people have family feuds for generations and they always seek revenge. Another reason is that some family, in the middle of somewhere, they just do something to make somebody mad, that person might try and seek revenge. Lastly, if somebody hurt someone, that persons family might try and kill you or beat you close to death. That is why I think people seek revenge because other people hurt people, somebody, or something they love.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 13: Saturday

My favorite thing to do on a Saturday is to go to sleep. During this activity I go to bed, and fall a sleep. I do this activity because I'm tired or I'm crashing from having too much caffeine or sugar. I enjoy this activity because I get some sleep that I happen to not have gotten it the night before. I hope to do this all the time because I'm very tired and I didn't get it the night before, and I really don't like going to school that much, so I would prefer to go to sleep everyday or just be really lazy.

Academic Language Week 13 - Video Games

There are some facts that violent video game does not contribute to youth violence. One fact is that some kids get involved with some movies and other media that has violence in it, so it's not just from violent video games. Another fact is that some kids interpret it from the beginning (like when they were born) and that it doesn't just come from video games. Lastly, 80 percent of the kids in this world usually do not get in trouble with video games, but some people believe that it can cause youth to stay out of trouble. That is why I think that violent video game does not contribute to youth violence.

"The Interlopers” Content Paragraph: Another Point of View

It was a dark night, and I was out hunting on George Znaeym's grounds. I hate George so much, I wish I could just kill him. Eventually I met face to face with George Znaeym, and apparently I was lucky enough to see him so that maybe, just maybe I could get away with killing him. After we were cursing at each other, with both rifles raised at each others faces, we heard thunder, then a giant tree fell on both of us before we even got a chance to move out of the way. I just layed there with one of my arms numb and the other free, eventually George stopped struggling, and noticed that I was still alive. After awhile I see figures up ahead, and say "There's figures up ahead, we can be saved once and for all." "Really?" asked Georege, "Really." I said, about five mineutes later I realized my mistake for mistaking our saviors to actually being wolves that are hunting for food. "Hahaha, I guess I was wrong, those arent our saviors but they are wolves. Once the wolves reached us, we had no hope of living from this point on forward, because we were being eaten b the wolves.

Academic Language Week 13 - Video Game Interviews

Andrea's Response: "Video games can negatively influence young people, but rather than ban video games, students should be taught to distinguish fact from fiction."

Kyle's Response: "Violent video games do contribute to youth's violence."

Kristie's Response: "I think a lot of the video games are more violent then they use to be, and I think that if a little kid watches blood and gore it might click on something that would make them more violent."

"The Storyteller" Before You Read: Memorable Books from My Childhood

One feud I am familiar with is the feud between The Baker Family and The Murtaugh Family. These two families dislike each other because Mr. Murtaugh constantly flaunts his wealth and success to Mr. Baker, as well of the accomplishments of his children, often suggesting to Mr. Baker that the Baker children are less successful because of Mr. Baker's parenting style. The families show that they are in a feud by fighting each other over stupid things. As a result of the feud, one of the Baker children is giving birth right at the moment when they were about to break the tie for the Annual Family Cup. The feud will end when everybody gets along with each other!

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 12: Veterans Day

I would not enlist in the military. One reason is that there are some jobs are perfect for some people and being a veteran is not something I want to grow up as. Another reason is that I don't want to die. Additionally, I'm not comfortable handling guns and killing people. Currently I do not plan to actually enlist in the military.

                                                                                                       Autobiographical Narrative Final Draft

Autobiographical Narrative Final Draft

Have you ever had a conflict with a friend that ended badly? Well I have. When I was 12, I started going to a new school, living in a new neighborhood, and meeting new people... “I was not always that fond on meeting new people”. I thought as I walked to school on my first day that I would not survive because of having experiences of being bullied. That was not until I met Keke. She, in my honest opinion, was the best person that ever lived. When my first friend Jennifer introduced me to Keke, I was the happiest person alive on earth. After being friends for roughly six months we had a conflict with each other.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Friday I will never forget. Keke and I waited after school to get picked up by her parents to go over to her house so we could hang out. The conflict that we had was that I had some troubles respecting her secrets that she told me, which had given me some consequences with the situation. It all started out when Keke invited me to her house. We went to her room, started talking and sharing secrets. Some of the things she told me were pretty intense. She told me how her family abused her, she had problems with her girlfriend cheating on her, and that she had stabbed somebody before. I still do not know why she told me all those things, but she did. I also thought that since I never really had a friend before, maybe I could be there for the real friend I would actually get to keep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Wednesday in the middle of math class this girl named Clarrissa, who happened to usually be mean to me, was actually being nice. I do not know what I was thinking but Clarrissa and I were in the back of math class whispering to each other about Keke and her secrets. While I was determined on telling her the precious information, I noticed her facial expression; she happened to be very surprised. We were talking until the teacher separated us. After class, Clarrissa went and told other people what I just told her about Keke’s situations which made me feel guilty. It made me realize that I was very wrong for telling her Keke’s secrets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I woke up that Saturday morning in an upright bolt, I was panting because of the terrible nightmare I just witnessed. My nightmare was reflected on my choices by not respecting my friends privacy.This left me to face multiple consequences. When I talked to Keke she told me that I could not hang out with her and that she would not forgive me. Eventually I went to school the next day and found out that not only Keke and my friends hated me, but almost the whole entire campus did. After school I felt guiltier then I ever had before.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I realized that I was innocent  and very wrong to hurt my friend like that. When I  think about what I did to Keke, I always feel terrible. I will never hurt any of my friends ever again, even if my life depended on it. If you want to know what my controlling impression was, I felt I was innocent and ignorant. Now that I have become more compassionate and understanding, I have matured and learned from the situation. I happened to hurt my best friend by spreading rumors about her and that left me with consequences to deal with. The experiences of this situation made me realize not to go over peoples boundaries and how to choose my friends wisely.

First Person Narrator: House Parent/Lead Staff Point of View Jackie

As I walked into Girls 5 today, I thought "They better hurry up, and open this freaking door!!!". Then, I went inside the house once the staff hurried up and opened the door. When I went inside the house I decided to go to the Tech center so I could finish my homework, but I had to stay til' 3:30, and in that time moment the house and I had to do teen topic. Later, I finally went to go do my homework, and once I opened my blog I found it all pink and girly and some chic as my profile picture, and to tell you now that I was really confused. As I went off shift, I felt annoyed and happy that I did my homework at the same time, and you know that I really don't have to tell you why I was annoyed.

Please forgive me.

Your dear student,

Rachel

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 11: Sports & Grades

Student athletes should be required to have good grades in order to play sports. One reason is because everybody needs to be smart in order to survive in the adult world, so schooling should come before sports, or any other fun activity. Another reason is that you need good grades and have a 2.0 to get most jobs, and some sport jobs. Additionally, if you have good grades in high school there's more of a chance for you getting scholarships in collage and getting a good sport job. In order to help student athletes, schools should give them more work to do.

Academic Language Week 11 - Health Care

I think that all Americans should have the right to free health care. First, a lot of Americans spend all of their money on Medical expenses that it has became an issue to people because they are losing a lot of their money. Secondly, there is a lot of evidence of millions of children who have no health care, and are dying of different illnesses because they can't get free health care. To summarize, health care should be free to all of the Americans in America. That is why I think health care should be free to all the Americans in America.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 10: Homecoming

Homecoming week at San Pasqual Academy was awesome. The spirit days were great, for example we wore pj's on Monday, decade's day on Tuesday, crazy hair and dress all white on Wednesday, mix and match day on Thursday, and on Friday we wore school spirit colors. The pep assembly was crowded, for example every one was happy because we got to watch a step performance. The football game was wonderful, for example we won the game. The dance was awesome, for example we were dancing and had Panda Express for our dinner. Compared to a typical week at SPA, this week made me feel happy and relaxed due to all the short days.

Academic Language Week 10 - Euthanasia

I think that doctors should be allowed to help critically ill patients commit suicide. First, some patients should have certain criteria to get euthanasia, because if they don't then the doctors would get in a lot of trouble for killing a patient that didn't have any illness. Second, they will die sooner or later so why not now when it is fast and painless and the doctors wont have to put any emphasis. Third, patients have the consent to choose weather or not if they want to get euthanasia. Those are my main three reasons that doctors should have the choice to help critically ill patients commit suicide.

Dia de los Muertos - Pick a Person

I plan to construct a Dia de los Muertos altar about Heath Ledger. His main character trait is an avid chess player. This person is known for being an famous actor. This person’s appearance is blond hair, brown eyed, Caucasian, and fit. Others think this person is really good at doing his work, and being a good father to his daughter. This person is known for saying “I only do this because I'm having fun. The day I stop having fun, I'll just walk away.” This person thought “It's not a disease. It's not contagious. They should understand that it's a story of pure love. They don't have to be a hero. They don't have to be brave like us. I guess a little bit of maturity is being asked for because society has been immature in the past. That's about it.” A few items that I may include in my altar to represent this person are a game of chess, all of his movies that he has plaid in, and some of his favorite movies. I selected this person because when I was younger my sister always loved him as a actor. When my sister first showed me the movie "A Knight's Tale" I soon after was in love with his acting skills. That is why I decided to choose him so I could wright about him.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 0: Video Games, Texting, or Sleeping

I sleep because it makes me feel good when I wake up. I decide to sleep when I'm bored, tired, or I ate too much. While I am sleeping, I catch up to my sleep because sometimes I don't sleep the day before. I enjoy sleeping, because it usually makes me feel better then before I slept when I was awake, and makes me less tired. In reflection, I shouldn't sleep more because I usually can't sleep at night like I'm supposed to, and then I wont be fully awake for school, which leads to bad grades, and me getting into more trouble.

Academic Language Week 8 - Junk Food

I think there are a lot of different opinions in school's having junk food in their vending machines. Here are some of the pros and cons. First, yes it should be banned because PREVIOUSLY it has been unhealthy and has cause obesity to a lot of teens. Second, the students have an ALTERNATIVE choice of eating snacks or not, but sometimes the students think of the snacks as a stress reliever from the school that puts the pressure on the students. Third, students might spend their lunch money on junk food and not on the food their suppose to be eating which is a major STRATEGY for the students.

Dragons' Den First Semester Week 8: Friends or Adults?

In my life, friends are more important then adults because you always need at least one person that's around for you. One reason is that friends are there for you when you are having relationship problems, like when you are being abused, they can walk you through it, or maybe they can let you stay with them if the problems in the relationship is extreme. Additionally, friends are there when you need a made of honor or best man for you at your wedding. One last reason is that when your at your lowest or you can't take things anymore you always have that one friend to call and talk to. I let my friends know I appreciate them by giving them tons of hugs, and I'm always there trying to help them with something.

Academic Language Week 8 - Ten Commandments

I think that no, the ten commandments shouldn't be apart of school. First, the law says that the role of church and state should not be together. Second, because people are in different category's of religion and if they went to schools with the ten commandments and other religion they don't believe in, they would feel excluded. Third, some teachers might consume too much time teaching religion instead of their  lesson plan when students need to know subjects like math, English, science, etc. That is why certain schools should ban religion since it is forced on a lot of people.

Innocent to compassionate adult interview

When I was 17, I was innocent because I wanted to go to a football game but I wasn't allowed to go, so I pretended to go to sleep and snuck out when my parents went to bed. Then, I experienced the football game that I enjoyed but I felt guilty and was worrying that I was going to get caught, so I didn't stay long because I went to a party with some friends. This helped me to become compassionate because I got caught and I was grounded. After being grounded I learned how selfish it was for me to not listen and sneak out and to make my parents worry.

By Ms. Andrea

Autobiographical Narrative - Innocent to Compassionate Brainstorm

When I was 13, I was innocent because I trusted this stranger that happened to be my neighbor. Then, I experienced that riding in his car with him alone scared me a lot, because he was going down a different street that I didn't know of and I thought I was going to die or get raped. This helped me to become compassionate because I learnt not to trust strangers and I didn't want somebody else to get hurt if they trusted somebody they didn't know.

When I was 10, I was innocent because I saved up more then $300 and I went and spent it all on toys that I didn't want or like. Then I experienced that I should of saved  that money and spend it on little things that I want first or give it to somebody in need. This helped me to become compassionate because I was sad after spending it all on things I didn't want and I decided that I should save it on more important things that I or others would need.

When I was 12, I was innocent because this girl told me her secrets and I went and told somebody else. Then, I experienced that I should keep peoples secrets and not be a backstabber and tell other people. This helped to become compassionate because I still feel really guilty on what I did to my best friend, and I never want to do it to somebody else.

Which of these experiences should I write about?

Dia de los Muertos - Article Summary

The article "DAY OF THE DEAD FACTS" by Thaneeya McArdle is about the all the facts of Dia de los muertos. This occurred 40 centuries before 1519 in the land that is now known as Mexico. The people involved with this holiday are the Aztecs. The events included setting up an altar with offerings, cleaning and decorating graves, holding all-night graveside vigils, telling stories about the deceased, making (or purchasing) and exchanging sugar skulls and other sweets. This happened because people believe that death is another way of living. As a result of this celebration that is how people celebrate Dia de los muertos.

Internet Safety Project - Public or Private Profile

I think that teens should put their profile to private on social networking sites because of sexual stalkers. First, they could find out where you live. Second, if they know where you live they could hurt you or kill you. Third, they could post things on your page, and ruin your relationship with people that your good friends with. For example, my friend Tomi flirted with a lot of  guys and one day this guy added her as a friend, he started asking her a lot of questions like where she lived and what she did and who she hung out with, eventually he started following her and he almost raped her, but I called the cops and one of my guy friends beat him up. That is why I don't trust guys that randomly add you as a friend.

Dragons Den 7: Would You Rather?

I would rather get caught singing in the mirror then getting caught spying on my crush (I will never ever do that).
First, in my honest opinion I think it's less embarrassing singing in a mirror, depending on what song it is. Second, if you got caught spying on your crush people could use it against you, singing in a mirror would be ridiculous  if they tried to use it against you. Third, I sometimes do sing in a mirror so it doesn't bother me if somebody caught me doing that. That is why I think that singing in a mirror is better then getting caught spying on your crush.

Academic Language Week 7 - Vampires

I think that it vampires in literature and movies will fade away. The first FACTOR is that it is getting to old, and people don't like that. Second, they use the same PLOT to much, like twilight and other vampire movies and shows, they always end and begin the same way, sometimes a little different like how the vampire falls in love with a human is always the same. Third, in other peoples VOICE'S, it has a lot of gore and romance, so both boys and girls can enjoy vampires. Those are my three reasons why vampires in literature and movies will fade away soon.

"Marigolds" Summary Poem

At 4 A.M. I was ashamed because of my behavior. Yesterday my brother was bored, so I gave him some compassion, as we went over to Ms. Lottie's and we went into a rage. I taught him how to throw pebbles at the Marigolds. The face of my father was horrifyingly shocked once we were caught. Once we were home he told us that because we were in the Great Depression and we might have to move. My mother was crying and sobbing away and the innocence of me starting dying away, I saw John Burke look at me, then I realized that he's holding  flowers, beautiful marigolds. Then he destroys the marigolds, and that is how I realized and regret the terrible things I have done that I Lizabeth is who I am and nobody can change me.

Dragons Den: Campus Donations

I felt good when the people donated the supplies and money to SPA. First, I am always grateful from people who donate things because they are willing to give things to us, even though they don't need to. Second, they gave us things even though they didn't know us. Third, they were willing to use their time to come down to SPA and gave us things that we needed. Fourth, it shows how generous people are when they donate things to people that are in need  .If I saw the people that donated stuff to us I would tell them "Thank you very much and I'm very grateful for the things you donated to us."

Academic Language Week 6 - Citizenship

Undocumented immigrants should be giving citizenship if they past the security test. First, they do the work many citizens don't want to do, which SIMPLIFY the hard labor jobs which we don't want. Second, some people VERIFY that they might break are laws because their used to their own laws in different countries. Third, they have to go through a test of SEQUENCES so they can get their own documents and live in the U.S, and get jobs. These are my three reasons why I think that immigrants should get a chance and have their documents.

"Marigolds" Lizbeth's Shoes Paragraph

Most kids don't worry about money as much as adults and parents do. Before my parents got a divorce and everything bad happened, they got into a lot of stress arguments. My biological dad, Gates, would lose a lot of jobs and it would get to the point where they would argue because my mom would be lazy and didn't really look for a job then. Sometimes we would be happy when Gates would get a new job and but after he lost a lot of his jobs I just gave up hope in him. Then we all went to Canada, he got another job up there and well, lets just say I still didn't have hope for him. That is how I felt and dealt with the issue when my parents would lose a job or don't have enough money for things that we want.

"Marigolds" Before You Read: Moving into Adulthood

What types of fears and conflicts do most young people have to deal with as they move into adult life?  First, they worry about their jobs, they have to get a good job so that way they can live somewhere and have food to eat. Second, once they get a place to stay at they have to worry about bills, a lot of people lose their jobs and places because bills and tax's get to expensive. Third, some people are worried about their kids because they might be addicted to drugs or they are doing gang-related things. How can young people prepare to handle these fears and conflicts?

Academic Language Week 5 - Vaccinations

I think that all children shouldn't have vaccinations. First, parents don't illustrate what might happen to the children. Second, they should estimate how the vaccinations affect their children.Third, the parents should be very positive talking to the child but some parents aren't. Fourth, they might get the vaccinations mixed up and the children might have some serious issues while they grow up. Fifth, what if the vaccination won't work and the child catches a disease anyway like when some people get a flu shot and they end up getting the flu. Sixth, some parents think there might be a link from vaccinations and autism. That is why I think children shouldn't have autism.

"Thank You, M'am" Letter to Roger

Dear Ms. Luella Bates Washington Jones,

I appreciate the way you helped me out, even though I tried to snatch your pocketbook. First, I got a job, now I'm a very rich man. Thanks for teaching me manners. Second, I just wanted to see how you are doing. Third, after I left your house when you gave me ten dollars and I went and bought a pair of shoes. I ended up going to a foster home and it helped me a lot. I went to high school and got a high school diploma. After high school I went to a college at Phoenix University. I also wanted to know if I could spend some time with you just to see how you are doing. That is why I wanted to contact you and just to let you know what has happened over the last ten years.
Sincerely,
Roger

"Thank You M'am" Before You Read: Going Gets Tough

There is some truth to the saying “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” First, I think that confidence help people to give them strong in spirit. For example, Hercules tamed the three-headed dog. Second, I think that people with confidence give them goodwill which makes them turn out good in the end. Third, some people go wrong because they just gave up for a lot of things and they just got tired. For example, some serial killers go bad because their family has a reputation being abusive towards them. All in all people always had the choice to guide their lives, no matter what they did wrong they could always fix it, unless if it's really really bad.

The Beautiful Mermaid

                                                               Exposition

One day John was skateboarding to his favorite spot in the mid-afternoon. That particular spot is the cliff. As he was getting nearer to his favorite spot he was suppose to stop but he wasn't paying attention, and once he realizes that it was to late to stop his skateboard, he trips, rips his ligament in his right ankle and falls off the cliff.

                                                       Rising Action
John wakes up to hearing to a far-off to sleep, then all of a sudden he feels something grab his left ankle, 'something scaly and slimy' John thought. Then before he knew it, he was underwater and unconscious. John wakes up to a beautiful mermaid staring down at him. She had long blond hair, and a beautiful multi-colored tail. Soon he realizes that one, he's underwater, two, his right ankle was healed. "Thank you" John said, "You're welcome John" said the beautiful mermaid said, "How did you know my name?" John asked, "Us mermaids have mythical powers help us out in a lot of things, without our powers we would die" she said, "What is your name, if you don't mind me asking?" asked John, "It's Frankie" said the beautiful mermaid, "some, and let me introduce you to my family." said Frankie.

                                                              Conclusion
As Frankie and John get to the mermaid castle, they see her family eating John's ex-girlfriend, Alicia. Once they see John they go after him. They chase Frankie and John into the dark depths of the ocean where there's alot of scary dangerous sea animals. "I think we lost them" panted Frankie, but sadly she was wrong, they grab Frankie and pull her away while the rest of the mermaid family corner John. 'What do I do, what do I do? thought John panicky. Eventually, he feels this surge of strange power, then he turns into a mermaid with a pink tail, and fights the mermaid family. In the end John marries Frankie, then he remembers his ex-girlfriend at home ((flashback) John and Alicia broke up after he caught her cheating on him. (back to the present) John lived happily ever after with his beautiful wife, Frankie.

Dragons Den:Life Lesson

A life lesson I learned the hard way is to not to steal. I used to think that it was easier stealing for food and supplies when I was out in the streets. Then I got caught one day, and the cops almost came and took me, which I had to run for my life. I learned that stealing was not the right way to go especially if you get caught and it gets put on to your record. Now I don't steal and if I want something I save up my money for it so I could enjoy using it.

Dragons Den: Power Outage

On Thursday evening I was at the doctor to get shots, when suddenly the lights went out and the cooler went off. In response I wasn't to freaked out until they said they couldn't put me in the system to go get my shots. Then I went back home and made a new friend name Chris. Later I finished school and went home and finally realized that the power went out. When the power came back on I was really excited and went back to bed.

"Dog Star" Before You Read: Special Animal

Yes I did have a special relationship with an animal, her name is pattycake, she was a black cat with seven finger in her front paws and six fingers in the back paws. She wasn't the nicest cat but the cutest, she was like a second mom to me. I tried to teach her how to do tricks but it never worked, but it did usually backfire on me. The only trick she did do was chasing me into my bed and clawing at my feet when it was past my bed time. When ever I was gone from school for the whole day or when I'm gone for a week she would jump on me the moment she would see me. She was my favorite animal and still is even though I had to give her away, it was really hard for me because I was young and I didn't really understand all the way and all I knew was that I wasn't going to see her again.

Dragons Den: Shoes

My favorite brand type of shoes are converse. In case you have never seen these types of shoes before they are thin, usually black and white, and they are in they have a mark on them called "All Star". I do wear these shoes on a regular basis because I usually buy one pair at a time until the ones I have at the moment are ripping apart and they are my favorite types of shoes. I like these shoes because when I was younger I had friends wear them and while I was poor I could never be able to buy a pair, and now that I'm older and that I save up my money I can finally buy pairs of converse and completing my gothic look almost all the time. That is why my favorite shoe brand is converse.

“The Most Dangerous Game” Plot Change

Mr. Rainsford's decision was to try and catch his pipe that fell out of his mouth into the ocean. If he didn't try and catch his pipe he wouldn't have fallen into the ocean, but because he tried to catch his pipe he lost his balance and he fell into the water. If I was Mr. Rainsford I would have thought better of it and try not to catch my pipe and I wouldn't have fallen into the ocean. That's is what would of happen and Mr. Rainsford would've been on the yacht and be stuck in the Strip-Trap island

"The Most Dangerous Game" Before You Read Fascinating Villain Paragraph

My favorite villain is "The Joker", he is in the movie "The Dark Knight". One of the reasons that I choose him as a villain is because he's cool in the movie. Second, He's freakishly scary in the movie, especially the way he kills people. Third, I love how he's smart in the way that he's always trapping people and killing them. Fourth, I really like his outfits in the movie. Fifth, I enjoyed the part when he fights batman, but I don't enjoy it when he dies. Those are the reasons why I like "The Joker" of the "The Dark Knight".

Response to Priester's Syllabus

These are some of the syllabus rules that I don't like. The sign-out form, it is a good way to check out but a lot of times I'm late to Ms. Davis class because once the bell rings we have to do our check-out form at the last minute and we have to run to our next class and then we have to do science in the news just to make it up.The second one, blogging, I never have liked blogging and still don't, I think it's kind of aggravating that I have to type up a blog and having to do it everyday is driving crazy. Last but not least, the third reason, I don't like that we have to wait to use the bathroom or get a drink of water before, in the middle, or after class, I don't like that we have to wait five minutes after class starts or wait until after class. These are some of the reasons on why I don't like the rules in Ms. Priester's class.

Dragons Den: Colors

My color would be black, why you ask? Black is my all time favorite color and even though it doesn't match me that much but I enjoy this color very much. Sometimes I do get depressed but that's not why I choose black though. I chose this color because it sometimes reminds me of my past, but that's not entirely bad, and it also reminds me of my sisters, how I miss them very much. It also matches everything you wear; you can also camouflage when you are hiding, so you won't get caught or anything. That is why I chose the color black.

Movie Plot Summary Paragraph

My First Day of School 2011

When I woke up on the first day of my 9th grade I was excited, scared, happy and tired, so tired that I forgot to eat my breakfast, then once the bell rang I had to go to the main office because on Friday they didn't have my schedule so that's why I had to go to the main office, and they told me that I had to go to room 204, which is the counselors room, then once I got to 204 I had to wait two hours for my schedule, then after that I went to my third period class which is with Mr.Fenick, I made a new friend there named frankie, we ate lunch together and I made more friends. After lunch Frankie showed me where Ms.Priester was, because I didn't know where her classroom was. After Ms.Priester I enjoyed the rest of my last two periods, espicially UROK class then after school ended I went to my house and did my homework and took a nap because I was very tired.
