Dia de los Muertos - Article Summary

The article "DAY OF THE DEAD FACTS" by Thaneeya McArdle is about the all the facts of Dia de los muertos. This occurred 40 centuries before 1519 in the land that is now known as Mexico. The people involved with this holiday are the Aztecs. The events included setting up an altar with offerings, cleaning and decorating graves, holding all-night graveside vigils, telling stories about the deceased, making (or purchasing) and exchanging sugar skulls and other sweets. This happened because people believe that death is another way of living. As a result of this celebration that is how people celebrate Dia de los muertos.
