"Marigolds" Before You Read: Moving into Adulthood

What types of fears and conflicts do most young people have to deal with as they move into adult life?  First, they worry about their jobs, they have to get a good job so that way they can live somewhere and have food to eat. Second, once they get a place to stay at they have to worry about bills, a lot of people lose their jobs and places because bills and tax's get to expensive. Third, some people are worried about their kids because they might be addicted to drugs or they are doing gang-related things. How can young people prepare to handle these fears and conflicts?

Academic Language Week 5 - Vaccinations

I think that all children shouldn't have vaccinations. First, parents don't illustrate what might happen to the children. Second, they should estimate how the vaccinations affect their children.Third, the parents should be very positive talking to the child but some parents aren't. Fourth, they might get the vaccinations mixed up and the children might have some serious issues while they grow up. Fifth, what if the vaccination won't work and the child catches a disease anyway like when some people get a flu shot and they end up getting the flu. Sixth, some parents think there might be a link from vaccinations and autism. That is why I think children shouldn't have autism.

"Thank You, M'am" Letter to Roger

Dear Ms. Luella Bates Washington Jones,

I appreciate the way you helped me out, even though I tried to snatch your pocketbook. First, I got a job, now I'm a very rich man. Thanks for teaching me manners. Second, I just wanted to see how you are doing. Third, after I left your house when you gave me ten dollars and I went and bought a pair of shoes. I ended up going to a foster home and it helped me a lot. I went to high school and got a high school diploma. After high school I went to a college at Phoenix University. I also wanted to know if I could spend some time with you just to see how you are doing. That is why I wanted to contact you and just to let you know what has happened over the last ten years.
Sincerely,
Roger

"Thank You M'am" Before You Read: Going Gets Tough

There is some truth to the saying “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” First, I think that confidence help people to give them strong in spirit. For example, Hercules tamed the three-headed dog. Second, I think that people with confidence give them goodwill which makes them turn out good in the end. Third, some people go wrong because they just gave up for a lot of things and they just got tired. For example, some serial killers go bad because their family has a reputation being abusive towards them. All in all people always had the choice to guide their lives, no matter what they did wrong they could always fix it, unless if it's really really bad.
